Forum Harassment: Mike Tyson's Punchout

Mike Tyson
A conversation I had with some Mike Tyson's Punchout fans on a gamefaqs message board in 2004. Not very funny and not really a prank. Just sort of a boredom-killing experiment. I guess I would call it a mild success.

Hallo Kevin,
you are first known MTPO fan to this board living in that region of the world. How old are you? Can you please give us some information about the popularity of NES and/or MTPO in particular in the Middle East/ Arabic World?
Would be very interessting to most regulars of this board from America and Europe.

your English is quite perfect. All that counts is that people can understand each other - grammar and style only count in the second lane...

It's nice to see that there are Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! players from all regions of the world. Hopefully you will finish this game Kevin if you have not already done so. What do you think of Tyson? He seems impossible, but don't be intimidated, he can be beaten.

The newer consoles such as Playstation 2 and X-Box do not appeal to me. The NES is a great system regardless of its age, so don't feel ashamed Kevin for not being able to buy newer consoles. You are not missing much, it's all about hype and graphic quality these days, just like with anything else: "image over substance". Replay value and challenge the likes of a Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! is quite rare in these times. Have fun with your NES system.

Soon fiends, my conputer is sold also beccause my father has simply lost his career at the soil plant where he worked for 40 year.

Just like that your NES is gone Kevin? Wow I am sorry to hear that. It is understandable though, food is much more important than games ever could be. I hope that your family will recover from these difficult times and prosper in the long run. Never give up the hope. All the best to you.
